Checking the payment asset and network on the actual invoice

A cryptocurrency payment is not identified by a familiar coin name alone. The current invoice may specify an asset, network, destination, amount, and validity period. Those details belong together. Before sending anything, make sure you understand each field and can reproduce the invoice's instructions in your wallet or exchange. If a field is unclear or unsupported, stop and ask through a verified channel instead of choosing the closest-looking option.
Start from the current order
Open the payment link attached to the order you intend to pay. Check that the order reference and amount correspond to your current purchase. Do not reuse an address from an old screenshot, a previous order, a blog article, or a direct message. A saved payment page can be stale even when its design still looks familiar.
Cryptomus's invoice documentation describes invoice flows where currency and network choices are made on the payment page or specified when the invoice is created. Use the choices actually shown for your invoice. This article does not list permanent supported assets or networks, because the available options and order instructions can change.
Compare the asset and network separately
Read the full asset name and network label. A matching ticker does not establish a matching network. In the sending application, compare the selected asset and network against the active invoice before entering an amount. If the application lacks the exact option, do not reinterpret the invoice or assume the recipient can automatically convert an unsupported transfer.
Check whether the invoice requires any additional destination information, such as a tag or memo. Follow only what the current invoice specifies; do not invent a value or copy one from another payment. If a QR code fills the form, inspect the resulting fields rather than assume the code populated every required choice correctly.
Review destination and amount before confirming
Compare the destination displayed in the final sending screen with the invoice. Check the full value carefully enough to detect a wrong or substituted destination; a matching beginning alone is insufficient. Keep your seed phrase, private key, wallet password, and signing credentials out of the comparison record. None belongs in a merchant payment support message.
Then compare the requested amount with the sending application's description of what the recipient will receive and what fees apply. Do not subtract fees by intuition or replace the crypto amount with a catalog price displayed in another currency. If you cannot tell whether the intended recipient amount matches the invoice, consult the sending provider's current instructions before proceeding.
Keep inventory questions outside the transfer decision
The 100+ follower category and 500+ follower category provide current inventory context. An article or category label does not reserve an item or establish a payment destination. Check sale availability and the exact checkout state before deciding to create or pay an order.
Read the current store terms and keep a private order reference. If a payment detail conflicts with a message from someone claiming to be support, stop and verify through the contact page. Do not send a “test” amount to an unverified replacement address. After sending an authorized transaction, track the existing invoice and order instead of reusing its address for another purchase without explicit current instructions.
Frequently asked questions
Is matching the token name enough to choose a network?
No. Compare the network separately with the current invoice. If your sending application does not support the exact required option, pause rather than guess an equivalent.
Can I use a saved address from a previous purchase?
Use the payment instructions attached to the current order. A previous destination, amount, or validity period does not establish what the new invoice requires.
Does scanning a QR code remove the need to review fields?
No. Inspect the destination, asset, network, amount, and any required additional information in the final sending screen before confirming.
What should I do if a support message gives different payment details?
Do not send funds while the conflict is unresolved. Verify the order through the store's published contact route and the payment provider's genuine instructions.
